About the Founder
Necessity has long been heralded as the Mother of invention, and for Madrín, founder of Mentecata Cosmetics, a deeply personal catalyst sparked a lifelong dedication to skin health. Sixteen years ago, during her pregnancy with her youngest child, a medical diagnosis required an uncompromising approach to wellness -- necessitating strict vigilance over dietary intake and, by extension, topical applications. Confronted with the limitations of commercial offerings, Madrín Embarked on an extensive investigation into formulation, initially handcrafting simple balms from pure natural oils and butters out of sheer devotion to her daughter's care. What began as a maternal necessity evolved into an enduring passion and scientific pursuit. Driven by a commitment to uncompromising quality, Madrín furthered her expertise by enrolling in the prestigious Formula Botanica, earning a formal diploma in Organic Skincare Formulation. Today, through Mentecata Cosmetics, her mission extends far beyond commerce: she is dedicated to educating her community on skin wellness, championing botanical transparency, and providing uncompromised natural alternatives.
